Submit nominations for the UBC Chancellor reappointment committee by Sept. 9

Earlier this month, the UBC Alumni Association (alumni UBC) announced that Chancellor Steven Lewis Point is approaching the end of his first three-year term and is being considered for reappointment. As part of the reappointment process, students, faculty and staff were invited to serve on an advisory committee. Thank you to everyone who submitted their nominations.

The university is seeking nominations for the following:

  • Two faculty members from UBC Vancouver
  • One faculty member from UBC Okanagan
  • One staff member from UBC Okanagan
  • One graduate student from UBC Vancouver or UBC Okanagan
  • One undergraduate student from UBC Okanagan

Nominations will close at 4pm on Sept. 9, 2022.

    Applications for 2024 Thrive Grants open until Oct. 7

    Grants worth $300 are available for faculty and staff in Vancouver and the Okanagan who wish to host events that promote mental health during November, which is Thrive month at UBC. During the annual, month-long mental health initiative the UBC community is encouraged to learn about, talk about, and explore ways to support our mental health.
