A message from Lesley Cormack, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Principal, UBC Okanagan
Dear colleagues,
UBC Okanagan recognizes the stress and uncertainty that COVID-19 and now the latest Omicron variant has put on our students, faculty and staff. These concerns have understandably come to the fore during this term’s final exam period.
We have been working hard with Interior Health and the Public Health Office to ensure that in-person campus activities are as safe as possible. Thanks to the diligence of our community, our campus has seen an extremely low number of cases amongst students, faculty and staff. In fact, Interior Health has confirmed that they have not identified any clusters of COVID-19 linked to UBCO since September and deem final exams to be a low-risk activity.
