A successful 2020 UBC United Way Campaign
February 1, 2021
UBC Vancouver runs an annual workplace campaign for the United Way of the Lower Mainland each fall, creating an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to connect, network and raise funds for a great cause. In 2020, when the need was greater than ever before, the campaign team set a goal of reaching 1,000 donors. Our community stepped up and exceeded their goal, with 1,025 donors coming together to raise over $600,000 through employee donations and virtually delivered events and initiatives.
United Way of the Lower Mainland is a non-profit organization that delivers more than 300 programs and services to members of Lower Mainland communities and funds 150+ agencies. The United Way focuses on preventing and addressing the underlying causes of critical social issues such as poverty and social isolation before they become crises.
