Creating impact through the 2021 United Way Campaign
February 7, 2022
It has been another banner year for the UBC United Way Campaign. The results of the 2021 campaign reflect the power of community coming together to support each other, once again. The impact of our collective efforts will go a long way in supporting our neighbours who continue to face challenges such as food security, isolation and flood recovery.
Nearly 1,000 donors contributed over $590K to benefit our communities. Since the start of the campaign over 170 volunteers ran fundraising initiatives and events that benefitted local communities and raised awareness for the work being done by United Way of British Columbia across the province.
Thank you to everyone in our UBC community who continued to support United Way. Whether you are a first-time donor, shared and amplified the message in your networks or volunteered your time to participate or plan an initiative, your contribution has made a lasting impact for individuals and families in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Southern Interior.
