February 11, 2022
Dr. Anne Martin-Matthews has announced that she has decided to step down from her role as Associate Vice-President (AVP), Health at the end of June 2022.
As the inaugural AVP, Health appointed in February 2019, Anne has worked tirelessly to bring to life the expansion of UBC Health to encompass collaborative health education, interdisciplinary research, and health systems. She has made a significant impact on the improvement and renewal of UBC Health’s existing programs, while creating a number of new opportunities to support interdisciplinary and cross-campus collaborations for faculty, staff, and students. These initiatives included strengthening the integration of a range of health initiatives with the UBC Okanagan campus and enhanced partnerships with government and external organizations that are crucial to advancing health systems.
