A message from Dale Mullings, Associate Vice-President, Students, UBC Okanagan
Dear campus partners,
I am pleased to share that we are now accepting applications for two new funds introduced this year to support faculty and staff in developing initiatives for students.
Through the new Experience UBCO Access Excellence Fund, $300,000 in grants are now available to support faculty and staff in developing new initiatives aimed at increasing access and participation in post-secondary education for underrepresented and equity-deserving students.
By providing faculty and staff with funding to develop and grow initiatives that are targeted for specific youth, students and communities, the fund seeks to not only create access but also remove barriers that prevent underrepresented students from entering, fully participating and achieving success in post-secondary.
The Intercultural Excellence Fund provides an additional $100,000 in grants for academic units and departments to develop or grow initiatives that focus on intercultural learning and experiences that bridge cultures.
The UBCO Intercultural Excellence Fund (UIEF) was established to develop or grow accessible and innovative programming that aid in cultivating intercultural fluency on campus by providing academic units and departments the opportunity to build initiatives that focus on intercultural learning and experiences that bridge cultures.
