Describe what you do at UBC in 10 words or less:
I teach third and fourth year laboratory courses among others.
What work achievement are you most proud of?
Leading a project to renew UBC's undergraduate Food Science program curriculum with an emphasis on better preparing students for working in the industry, enhancing student knowledge of sustainability in the food industry, and improving student learning through course alignment and teaching and assessment methods.
What three words would others use to describe you?
Creative, enthusiastic, organized.
What’s one personal experience you would encourage others to do/try?
I would recommend anyone who lives within 20 km of their workplace, to try biking to work! I have biked to work for over 4 years now, more recently doing the 20 km commute each way and it is a great way to double up on getting exercise and commuting to work, and helps you clear your mind before and after work.
