A message from Ananya Mukherjee Reed, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Okanagan
Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to share with you my first newsletter of 2021. I hope to provide these newsletters quarterly, and share many of the wonderful academic initiatives happening on our campus.
Coinciding with the release of this newsletter today is UN Zero Discrimination Day. This year’s theme is End Inequalities. It is with these goals in mind that we continue to move forward with our anti-racism initiatives at UBC. I encourage you to keep apprised of our progress and new initiatives by visiting the new UBC Anti-Racism site, as well as the Okanagan-focused Addressing Systemic Racism page.
