Tell us how you’re advancing sustainability at UBC
May 8, 2023
Are you a UBC faculty or staff member taking actions or driving initiatives to advance sustainability at the university? If so, we want to learn more. Your story could be featured on UBC Today.
Later this year, we’ll be embarking on a story series to unearth the incredible sustainability-driven work being done at UBC and the individuals behind these efforts. While sustainability is a hot topic these days, we want to showcase the efforts of our colleagues who don't normally get the recognition they deserve and shine a light on their lesser-known efforts to advance sustainability at UBC.
We're looking for the following sustainability-themed story ideas:
- Food and agriculture
- Urban spaces, infrastructure and mobility/technology
- Climate and energy
- Conservation and restoration
- Water
- Intersectional sustainability*
*Intersectional sustainability refers to actions being taken across 2-3 three areas that don’t necessarily fit under one theme.
If you've played an active role in this space, we want to hear from you. The deadline to submit your story idea is 5pm on May 30.
Preference will be given to individuals whose work has not been profiled anywhere yet. For anyone who is interested in sharing their story idea, please note that our team will be conducting interviews and pursuing photography (if necessary) in June and July 2023.
