Share your wildlife photos by June 7

Now that we have officially entered spring, it is the perfect time to enjoy being outdoors. Whether you’ve been exploring nature or spending time out in the garden, we want you to share a photo (or two) that showcases the birds and wildlife around you. All photo submissions from current faculty and staff will be published on UBC Today in the coming weeks.

If you’re looking for inspiration, take a look at nature-inspired snapshots in 2023.  

What do you need to do? 

Submit a high-resolution photo, caption, image credits, and your details by June 7.

    Apply for a Peter Wall Fellowship and Research Award

    UBC’s 2025 Wall Fellowships and Wall Research Awards competitions have launched, focusing on research and scholarly activity in identified areas relating to sustainability in British Columbia. This suite of awards represents one of the largest internal award programs at any university in North America. It supports the research and scholarly activities of tenured and tenure-track faculty members at all stages of their career, as well as those of master’s and doctoral students.

    Dr. Henry Yu re-appointed as Principal, St. John's College

    The Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Dr. Henry Yu to serve as Principal of St. John’s College (SJC) for a five-year term effective January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2029. This appointment follows a review of Dr. Yu’s performance as Principal to-date, and the larger SJC ecosystem.
