UBCBulletin Updates for leadership

Workday Student reaches key milestone

This message was sent to executive, deans and other senior academic leaders, academic heads, directors and managers, and senior professional leaders in Vancouver and the Okanagan.

May 16, 2024

We are pleased to announce that Workday Student will reach a key milestone next week, when it becomes directly accessible by UBC’s student population.

On May 21, all new and returning UBC students will gain access to Workday Student to support all their academic administrative activities for the Winter 2024 session and beyond.

Student access marks a major milestone in UBC’s journey toward the renewal of its administrative systems. It is also the culmination of years of challenging work by many people across our community. We are incredibly grateful for the support, patience, and perseverance of everyone involved.

Students will be notified of their access via an email from Enrolment Services. This email will detail information around how to login, initial tasks students are asked to complete ahead of registration, and where they can go for support.

Central student-facing websites will also include step-by-step instructions for students pertaining to tasks in Workday Student. These websites will be live on May 21:

UBC Vancouver: workday.students.ubc.ca
UBC Okanagan: students.ok.ubc.ca/workday

Information around support for students during the transition to Workday Student can be found here: https://irp.ubc.ca/student-readiness

With any large system change, some inaccuracies in data are to be expected. Please know that the IRP Student team is working diligently to address these issues. Your understanding, patience and unwavering support for our students during this time of transition are highly appreciated. If your staff notice any issues, please encourage them to visit https://irp.ubc.ca/launch/support

Once again, thank you to all members of our community for your cooperation, support, and professionalism during this critical time of change.
