Apply for a Climate Education Grant

November 9, 2020

On December 5, 2019, the President and Board of Governors declared a climate emergency, driven by student leadership at UBC. Supported by $50,000 in one-time Climate Action funding, the Climate Education Grant program aims to quickly improve the depth and delivery of climate change content in existing courses.

Faculty members are invited to apply for a grant that can be used to help incorporate climate change content and teaching approaches into existing undergraduate and graduate courses. Faculty members may consider integrating and/or bolstering topics such as climate adaptation and resilience, climate justice, climate science, climate economics, climate law, planning and policy, and complex systems thinking. All areas of inquiry related to climate change and teaching are eligible.

Application deadline: December 18, 2020
