Help us engage faculty and staff in the 2021 Workplace Experiences Survey
This message was sent to executive, deans and other senior academic leaders, academic heads, directors and managers, and senior professional leaders in Vancouver and the Okanagan.
October 25, 2021
On November 1, UBC will open the 2021 Workplace Experiences Survey, which provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to share feedback on their experience of working at UBC. A UBC Broadcast will be issued on that date with more information about the survey and its role in informing decisions at UBC. Following the UBC Broadcast, faculty and staff will receive their unique survey link directly from our survey consultant TalentMap.
Although this is a busy time for many of us, we would greatly appreciate your support towards encouraging faculty and staff in your unit to participate. Doing so will enable you as a leader to receive richer and more representative insights into experiences locally as well as at a university-wide level. Units with five or more responses will receive reports.
Please support the initiative:
- We appreciate you encouraging your teams to participate in this survey. However, please do not forward the survey invitation.
- In order to support you, UBC HR has developed a toolkit, which you can access at https://focusonpeople.ubc.ca/workplace-experiences-survey/toolkit.
- During the survey period, your Senior HR Leaders will be provided with local participation rates in order to help you continue to encourage engagement as required.
Ensuring confidentiality
UBC uses third-party Canadian-based survey consultant, TalentMap, to administer the survey. Respondents will be asked for general demographic information, and not personal information such as their CWL login or password. All individual survey feedback will remain confidential. For more information about the Workplace Experiences Survey, visit https://ubc.ca/wes.
Thank you in advance for your support.
