How will you take part in this year's UBC United Way campaign?

UBC’s annual United Way campaign is currently underway until December, providing an opportunity for the UBC community to come together and raise funds for a great cause.

United Way British Columbia is strengthening vital connections that support people in need in our local communities, across BC. All money raised will make a difference locally.

There are a number of ways you can get involved in this year’s campaign:

  • Donate to United Way British Columbia and help support the development of healthy, caring and inclusive communities. You can choose to donate by payroll or a one-time gift.
  • Join this year’s Coffee campaign (Vancouver only). Anyone who pledges $5 per paycheque (or a $120 one-time gift) by November 2 will be mailed a coffee card to use at participating UBC Food Services locations in the month of November.
  • Attend an upcoming United Way Pit Stop at UBC Okanagan: Thrive United Way Pit Stop: November 15, 9:30am – 11:00am, Gymnasium, upper level
  • Become a Campaign Champion and lead United Way activities in your area of the university. 
  • Learn more about the real-world impact United Way activities are having in our communities.

    Applications for 2024 Thrive Grants open until Oct. 7

    Grants worth $300 are available for faculty and staff in Vancouver and the Okanagan who wish to host events that promote mental health during November, which is Thrive month at UBC. During the annual, month-long mental health initiative the UBC community is encouraged to learn about, talk about, and explore ways to support our mental health.
