    As a reminder, currently funded Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) project teams are invited to submit renewal applications for second and third-year funding for their projects, by 3pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020.     Get help extracting knowledge from your data

    If you would like help extracting knowledge from your data, you are invited to submit a proposal for your data-related problem to be solved by data scientists-in-training.  You can apply for the opportunity to work with up to four students in the Master of Data Science or Master of Data Science Computational Linguistics programs, who specialize in modern data science tools and techniques, such as statistical analysis and visualizations. You will receive a customized solution (e.g. new app, analytic reports, scripts or software) for your problem.

The OER fund supports affordable and inclusive access to learning materials through the adaption, adoption, development, and integration of open educational resources within UBC credit courses.     Join UBC’s virtual ShakeOut drill on Oct. 15

    Each year BC takes part in the annual ShakeOut earthquake drill. This year, UBC's Safety & Risk Services’ Emergency Management team will be hosting a virtual ShakeOut drill, so you can learn how to get your home ready, and know what to do in the event of an earthquake.
