UBC’s Remote Work update

As previously communicated on April 14, UBC is developing an institutional plan for remote work. Our faculty and staff have shown their adaptability over the past year and we are now able to be thoughtful and innovative as we consider remote work for the longer term and begin to imagine the future workplace. This is an important and exciting moment for the university.

Register for the Pick your Peak Stair Challenge by June 25

The Pick Your Peak Stair Challenge is an annual, fun and inclusive way to encourage faculty and staff to take the stairs. Stair climbing is a great way to boost cardiovascular health, build muscle and strengthen the core. All abilities are welcome to participate. Register with a team (4-6 people) or sign up as a solo climber by 4pm on June 25, 2021.

Asia Pacific Women in Leadership Mentoring Program

The Asia Pacific Women in Leadership Mentoring Program provides international and intercultural opportunities for the empowerment, professional growth and development of aspiring women leaders. Two mentors (one senior academic leader and one senior administrative leader), and two mentees (aspiring women leaders) will be chosen to participate. Mentees should identify as women. Mentor applications are open to all genders.
