    Get your flu shot this fall

    As influenza (flu) season approaches, protect yourself by taking the flu vaccine at a community pharmacy. This year, flu vaccines can be booked through the provincial government’s 'Get Vaccinated' system. At UBC Okanagan, flu clinics will run on campus from Oct. 31 to Nov. 16. UBC Vancouver

    Call for volunteers to support UBC's fall graduation ceremonies

    This November, UBC will be welcoming nearly 7,000 alumni from the classes of 2020 and 2021 on the Vancouver campus back to experience the in-person graduation they missed during the pandemic, on top of celebrating the achievements of over 2,000 students during fall congregation. At UBC Okanagan, make-up ceremonies will be held for graduates from the classes of Spring 2020 and 2021. A number of volunteering opportunities are available for faculty and staff.     External review of Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters program

    BC’s Grants for Catalyzing Research Clusters (GCRC) program fosters collaboration and enables the formation and growth of interdisciplinary research excellence clusters. An external review of the program is being carried out to assess its effectiveness in supporting Research Excellence Strategy 6 (Collaborative Clusters) in UBC’s strategic plan.

    Nominations open for UBC Health awards

      If you know an individual or team who demonstrates excellence in mentorship, interprofessional collaboration, or health education, nominate them for a 2022 UBC Health award by November 10.   The UBC Health awards recognize the academic and research excellence of faculty and staff from various health disciplines at the university, as well as the achievements of health educators, professionals, and community partners across BC.

    Announcing the recipients of UBC Okanagan's Staff Awards of Excellence

    Congratulations to the recipients of UBC Okanagan's 2022 Staff Awards of Excellence.  At last month’s Principal and Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Town Hall, a number of staff were recognized for their outstanding service to the university. This year, six awards were given out in the following categories: Advancing Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence, Enhancing the UBC Experience, Leadership, Global Citizenship, Okanagan Campus Spirit, and Wellbeing.
