    Join UBC's ShakeOut drill on Oct. 21

    We all play a role in protecting ourselves and those around us, and making our campus safe. Participate in the annual ShakeOut drill on Oct. 21, and learn more about the risks in our community and what UBC is doing to plan ahead.The Great BC Shakeout is an annual province-wide earthquake drill for everyone to practice how to protect themselves and be better prepared in the event of an earthquake. UBC offers a number of tools to help ensure you receive alerts in urgent situations:

    Gordon Binsted appointed at York University’s Markham campus

    A message from Ananya Mukherjee Reed, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Okanagan As you are aware, Dr. Gordon Binsted’s appointment as dean, Faculty of Health and Social Development, concludes on June 30, 2022.  Dr. Binsted has recently been appointed as deputy provost, Markham, at York University and will conclude his term as dean, Faculty of Health and Social Development, on December 31, 2021.

Dr. Michael Curry (he/him), clinical associate professor with UBC faculty of medicine’s department of emergency medicine, reveals how this year’s flu season will be different from the last and weighs in on how to reduce your risk of getting sick.
